Virginia
Virginia is a residential and industrial suburb located 10 kilometers north of the Brisbane CBD. It gained its name as a result of the Virginia Brick Company that was established in the area in 1897. Virginia’s residential area is located toward the south of the suburb with much of the north becoming an adjoining industrial precinct with Geebung.
Virginia has its own train station and the line runs right through the suburb. It is along the line that much of the industrial area is centered. Industrial and warehouse lots are also situated on Toombul and Sandgate Roads.
